Follow Through Collective – Portfolio

Artistic Director & Choreographer: Greta Gauhe
Producer: Callum Holt
Established: 2015

Follow Through Collective is a queer, female-led group creating multidisciplinary, sensory dance performances across theatres, galleries, and public spaces in the UK and Europe. Led by Artistic Director and choreographer Greta Gauhe, the Collective develops immersive, participatory work that explores our relationship to each other and the more-than-human world, forming temporary micro-communities through shared experience.

Since 2015, the Collective has created and toured a wide range of works, including 1 Click Away (two national tours 2022–2025, ACE funded), Memories of Skin, NOWhere, Common Ground, and Be-Longing. Their work has been presented at venues and festivals such as The Place, Chisenhale Dance Space, RichMix, NordArt (Germany), and the University of the Arts Berlin. The Collective works collaboratively across movement, sound, and visual art, with a process rooted in improvisation, non-verbal communication, and co-creation. Their practice spans performance, site-responsive work, and community engagement, often working with children, intergenerational groups, and diverse communities. Across all of their work, Follow Through Collective creates bold, sensory experiences that invite audiences to actively engage, gently shifting how we connect to one another and to the environments we inhabit.

Community & Participatory Work

Alongside performance, the Collective leads community-based projects across the UK and Europe, working with children, intergenerational groups, and people living with chronic pain. This includes workshops, residencies, and co-created performances, with a focus on access, participation, and sensory engagement. Recent projects include intergenerational workshops and a community dance project with the WAA group in Kiel, Germany (2024–2025), working across dance and visual arts. In the UK, the Collective has delivered workshops for children exploring touch and sensory experience at Upper Norwood Library Hub, supported by Midlands4Cities funding.

Practice

The Collective works through collaboration across movement, sound, and visual art, creating immersive environments that invite audiences to actively engage. The work often centres on environmental themes, connection, and collective experience, forming temporary micro-communities through shared, embodied encounters.
